Ray Marchica on drums! What a thrill to experience this quality Jazz. Thanks to Jer and Bev for organizing the evening to see their friend Ray. The 20 piece orchestra was a well oiled machine bursting with enthusiasm, including a saxophone that seemed to be talking. I recorded a drum solo to send to Conrad - and play again whenever I want to remember what fun the band appeared to be having. It doesn't get much better than this. We walked home up Broadway taking in the lights and looking at the buildings. It is wonderful to be a tourist.
