We walked up Riverside Park on Sunday, saw Grants Tomb and happened upon a tour of the Riverside Church. I did not know that it was built by Rockefeller during the depression (due to cheap labor), one set of windows was made in France after Chartres and many of the marble carvings were done by the Piccirilli Brothers who did the Lincoln Memorial. The guide said it is their only unsigned piece, per government orders.
